Going back over 40 years, Jack has always had a love for all things building, whether woodworking, stone walls, or timber framing. In the mid 1980s, Jack went to work with a master of ‘Old World’ craftsmanship, under whose guidance he developed a fascination with Classical design and traditional methods of joinery and cabinetry. In 1990, after restoring one of the old barns on his property to house his workshop, Jack struck out on his own in the woodworking business. Over the years and through many interesting projects, his approach has developed into the practical application of that early background. Appropriate design, attention to detail and clear communication with the client are the foundation for the quality evident in the cabinetry or millwork that follows.
Jack lives in northern Vermont on an old 1850’s hill farm, where he’s had plenty of opportunities over the years to hone his various skills in his ‘spare’ time. He lives with Lauren, his wife of 25 years, two mid 20's children and his buddies Ziggy and Mud, who are always there to offer perspective.
